Mexican Expressionist and Abstract Visual Artist, Graphic Designer and Art Appreciation Teacher.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT:

"My paintings, collages, assemblages, altered art and computer paintings are expressions of spiritual, intellectual and emotional reflections of my life and my personal feelings as a Mexican woman.

The process of creating and getting physically involved in my artwork is what motivates me.

Textures, transparencies, drippings or impastos express events in my life and mind, as happiness, stress, sex or tears.

Constant changes are always present in my artwork as in my life. Blanca Ruth"

BIO:

Blanca Ruth studied Art and Graphic Design in Mexico and has attended courses and workshops in Mexico and USA, as the Instituto de Arte Bribiesca, Universidad de las Americas, the Metropolitan Art Museum of New York, Art Institute of Chicago and Academia de San Carlos in Mexico, getting a Ph.D. in Business and Educational Institutions Administration from Warnborough University, Oxford, England and Ireland,UK. Her paintings have been showed in more than 120 group exhibitions worldwide and 15 solo shows.

Her artwork and interviews have appeared in newspapers, catalogs and magazines in Mexico, Europe, USA and the books "Arte Euroamericano" from Argentina, "International Contemporary Masters 2008" from USA and "Masters of Today" from England.

Her work is in permanent exhibition at Trevisan Arte Contemporanea Gallery in Ferrara, Italy which is her representative in Europe and at Galerie64 in Hendaye, Cote Basque, France.

Blanca Ruth is an Art Appreciation teacher in Mexico of the Art Education courses of the Metropolitan Art Museum of New York and the Art Institute of Chicago.
